Diagnostics

Laboratory: Our in house laboratory allows us to run an array of tests quickly for rapid results.
 
These tests include heartworm, lyme disease, ehrlichia, anaplasma, feline leukemia, feline immunodeficiency virus, parvovirus and giardia.  Complete urinalyses can be also performed.  Our fecal samples are spun in a centrifuge for more thorough analysis.  We have an in-house blood analyzer for pre-anesthetic testing and emergency situations.  A wide variety of additional tests can be sent to commercial laboratories.  Basic cytology specimens can be reviewed in our laboratory when necessary. 

 

 

 

Radiology Services:  Our hospital is equipped with digital radiography.   These high quality radiographs are important in the diagnosis of many diseases.  Because they are digital, they can easily be sent to specialists for review and consultation.  A copy can be created for you if you would like one.

 

Ultrasonography: A mobile ultrasonographer provides in-hospital ultrasound when needed.  With this important tool, we can more clearly visualize the heart and abdominal organs.  Referral can also be arranged in certain circumstances if necessary.
